Overcome the loss

Monday, March 21, 2016

Having lost both their parents since in early childhood, Le Hai Anh and Le Thi Trang are now living with their relatives in Dien Quang commune, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province.

Their relatives are also poor with a small farm of rice and cassava that produces insufficient income for the family of six.

To help the two youngsters overcome their difficulties, sometimes their neighbours donated rice and used clothes for them. World Vision also supported the two not only with school materials, but with a cow for the family to boost their income.

Their uncle is caring for the cow, but everyday after class, Anh and Trang spend time helping to rear the cow.

Recently, the cow gave birth to a female calf. Its arrival brought joy to the entire family.

“I will take a good care of the cow and calf. I hope they will soon be developed into a large herd of cows which will help us increase income, so that we can continue to go to school,” says Trang.

With the support from the community and World Vision, Anh and Trang have gradually overcome their loss. They now have a hopes for a better future.

“I want to work for World Vision to help those who are in the same situation as I have been in,” says Hai Anh.
