WVB's children success in public examination

Brilliant Performance in the SSC exam by the children under  World Vision Bangladesh program.

About 3500 poor and vulnerable children directly assisted by World Vision Bangladesh (WVB), passed SSC exam this year with outstanding results. Out of 3661,  282 clinched highest grade(A+) while 1347 secured grade-A and 888 obtained A-. The average pass rate of WVB assisted student (92.74  %) is  slightly higher than the national average (91.3%) which proves their desire and determination to conquer poverty and being established in life. Female students have done far better than male, which is creating an opportunity for advancing women empowerment and their decision making role at families and societies .  Among the students, Rajshahi division achieved the top position with 96.53 % pass rate while Barishal division secured second place (93.68%).

In 2014, World Vision provided financial and nonfinancial assistance to these children under its program at 84 program locations in 35 districts. These children mostly come from very poor and underprivileged families who don’t even think to appear in SSC examination without financial assistance and guidance.

The organization is highly appreciating the relentless efforts of the students, teachers, school management committees, parents, communities in accomplishing this brilliant result. The organization also expects that these student will continue their higher study and bring hope and prosperity to their families and communities.
