Child Friendly Spaces: After Floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Wednesday, May 6, 2015

When Bosnia and Herzegovina was hit by the record breaking floods and landslides in May and August 2014, World Vision, in cooperation with UNICEF, opened 19 Child Friendly Spaces to protect children from risk and promote their psychosocial well-being. More than 1.600 children were helped through Child Friendly Spaces.

During their stay in Child Friendly Spaces, children were involved in various educational and recreational activities, from music workshops to theatre plays. More information on various activities held in these safe places can be found in here.
