The difference a toilet makes

Leelaben’s family is one of 172 families have received support from World Vision for building toilets, in Dangs, Gujarat, India.

The video below from World Vision India tells the story of Elisha, a 14-year-old girl, whose health and sense of digniity and privacy improved through having access to a toilet at home. 

To have it's full effect, access to sanitation must be accompanied with clean drinking water and, critically, good hygiene practices. 11-year-old Varsha, through a school programme, learned the importance of good hygiene practices -- particularly handwashing.
