Tuesday, August 23, 2016

World Vision Ghana in partnership with the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) organised a two-day Child Protection maiden training for journalist in the Upper East Region. The training, held from the 9th to 10th of August 2016 at the Ghana Health Service Training center, Bolga, was to strengthen the journalists' capacity in Child Protection.

The training was held to fulfill the requirements of a four year Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two organisations to provide at least two Child Protection trainings per year, for members of the GJA. It is anticipated that this training will improve the quality of report on Child Protection and subsequently produce the best reporter for the child wellbeing category of the GJA annual awards.
