Learn many things in Donggala Kodi Child Learning Group

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

The children of Donggala Kodi, West Palu, Central Sulawesi are excited this afternoon. They are waiting for the learning activity to start in the Donggala Kodi hall meeting. The sooner the activity is started, the happier they are. Without any command, the children who are mostly primary school students, sit in line immediately. They curiously look forward what kind of lessons they will get today.

"Hi! Good afternoon children," Helda, a staff of Wahana Visi Indonesia in Palu greeted them.

"Hello! Good afternoon Miss!" the children answered quickly.

Praying, learning, clapping, and singing are common activities that the children usually do in Child Learning Group. On this occasion, they are taught to introduce themselves to other people. Using a puppet movie, the children are taught to be brave to introduce themselves.

Momon, the main character of this movie teaches them to sing the introduction-themed song. When the movie ends, they are asked to sing and introduce themselves in front of their friends. The children bravely come in front of their friends and introduce themselves.

Although this learning group activity only once a week, the Donggala Kodi children always look forward for this activity.
