Tanganyika: Saving for the transformation of families affected by interethnic conflict
This article shows the impact of the ADH project, which incorporated the Saving For Transformation approach in Tanganyika. After years of conflict that affected them and forced them to flee, they have now returned to their villages and are becoming self-sufficient thanks to the savings and loans they receive from their savings groups. Their living conditions are changing thanks to the support of World Vision, which trains them and gives them the means they need to prosper.

In alignment with our five-year strategy (FY21-FY25), FY23 marks a three-year successive implementation of the strategy. The organisation continued to align its efforts to the strategy objective, in full recognition of the changes in the implementation environment or context.

Après des années de conflits qui les ont affectées et les ont poussés à fuir, aujourd’hui, elles sont retournées dans leurs villages et deviennent autonomes grâce à l’épargne et de crédits qu’elles reçoivent de leurs groupes d’épargne. Leurs conditions de vie changent suite à l’accompagnement de World Vision qui les forme et leur donne des moyens nécessaires pour prospérer.

Rebuilding one of the most vital roads In Syria
After the earthquake wiped out Northwest Syria, an already suffering infrastructure took another hit. Roads were destroyed putting everything on hold. Meanwhile, World Vision Syria Response and its local implementing Partner, ULUSLARARASI INSANI YARDIMLAŞMA DERNEĞI, rehabilitated a 5km road, helping thousands regain order in their lives.

Tropical storm “Filipo” affects nearly 3,000 people and destroys 14 health facilities in Mozambique
Tropical storm "Filipo" is affecting southern region of Mozambique after landing in Inhambane province where more than 500 houses were partially and totally destroyed. Meteorology authorities predict more rains and strong winds and regions such as the capital Maputo where some of the most populous districts have come under water will likely increase the number of the affected people.

Tropical Storm Filipo has dragged more than 5000 children out of school in Mozambique
A much more comprehensive assessment was carried of the impact of tropical storm Filipo which affected the provinces of Sofala, Inhambane, Gaza and Maputo in the central and southern regions of the country. Schools, health unities, houses are among the most affected.

2023 Global Report on Child Participation in World Vision Decision-Making Processes
This second annual Global Report on Child Participation in World Vision Decision-Making Processes celebrates the different ways girls and boys across the world have been meaningfully involved in the decisions that World Vision makes to improve child well-being around the world. Field Offices have continued to implement stronger and more innovative ways of listening to children, including them in local and national decision-making spaces to ensure that programming and strategy decisions are informed by children’s experiences, priorities, needs, and perspectives.
This report highlights the extraordinary practices of each region and Field Office, celebrating the ways our staff have shared decision-making power with children. World Vision continues to press in our belief that children’s participation is not only a right, but an essential element of our child-focused agenda.
