Come and visit us in the sunny palace of children

“For years, I dreamt of going to Mongolian Children’s Palace art clubs, but it was so far from my home I couldn’t go. I am so happy and excited now that there is a new club opening in my neighborhood. I will go to the dance club” says Lkhagvasaikhan, a student from school no.76.

To make Lkhagvasaikhan’s dream come true, first ever branch of the celebrated art clubs of Mongolian Children’s Palace opened at Bayankhoshuu Human Development Centre on February 3rd.  To celebrate the opening ceremony, high profile officials including Member of Parliament Erdenechimeg.L, Head of Social welfare department of Ulaanbaatar City Municipality Buyandalai.Ts, Songinokhairkhan district governor Chinbold.M, representative of Citizens’ Hural Odgerel.Sh and Operations Director of World Vision Mongolia Dorana Javier attended the event, adding joy to children’s excitement.

The Mongolian Children’s Palace branch in Bayankhoshuu is the first of four to open, in the framework of “Ger Area Children Development" project. The project aims to establish child development clubs of MCP such as art performing, singing, dancing, chess and English language, free of charge to the children including the most vulnerable.

 “This opportunity to work with local government with MCP gives children to discover their potential in arts and languages. We look forward to fruitful and successful implementation of this sub clubs [of MCP], so that we can see real development of ger area” said Ms.Javier, Operations Director of World Vision Mongolia. The cooperation has marked an important step towards sustainable future of World Vision’s development works in the area.
