Children from all around the country gathered together to celebrate World Vision Mongolia's annual Thousand Children's Festival on May 29th at Nairamdal Centre. This year’s festival has been organized as part 90 year anniversary celebrations of child right movement in Mongolia.

Many children who are unable to celebrate the Children’s day, including the vulnerable, disabled and orphan children came to the event to watch their favourite entertainers such as the comedian Tudu, state honored artist B.Jargalsaikhan, poet Dashdondog who wrote the famous children’s songs of “Why?”, “Good night children”, and singers A-Cool and Soko.

“I came the festival from Arkhangai province. It is so exciting to see the celebrities we see on TVs so up close!” says 9 year old Bold-erdene.

The festival has been organized for the last 9 years to give hope and inspire the children to have big dreams.

“We have seen many children go pursue their dreams and reach success with the help of World Vision. One of them Luvsa, who recently spoke to world leaders, including UN Secretary general Ban Ki-Moon during the children’s forum at World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan. Also, Battsetseg, our former sponsored children became the world champion of freestyle wrestling. That’s what we want to give to children, the hope, the dream through this festival” said World Vision Mongolia National Director Mr.Edwards.

After seeing the performances by their favourite celebrities, and spending the day playing, dancing, singing, drawing at the Nairamdal international children’s centre, children departed to their homes with presents, feeling Christmas time in the first day of summer, creating unforgettable memory for the rest of their lives.
