Children participate in discussions on child rights

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Children participate actively in discussions on child rights during an awareness raising training organised by World Vision in Udayapur district of Nepal.

Children in the district have benefitted from child protection activities being carried out with the support of World Vision. Child protection activities focus on increasing communities’ capacity to respond to child protection issues and strengthen children’s resilience to abuse, neglect, exploitation and all forms of violence with life skills training.

World Vision works with Central and District Child Welfare Boards as well as Village Child Protection and Promotion Committees to institutionalise formal and informal systems for child protection. Child Protection is a key sector in World Vision International Nepal’s work, through which we contribute to creating and maintaining an environment for the well-being of children.
