A winter of contrast for Syrian refugee children

Friday, January 22, 2016

For some Syrian refugee children, their first experiences with snow this winter are marked by sharp contrast. For the lucky few who've settled in new homes in places like Canada and European countries, the first snowfall of winter has been joyous and wonderful.

But for others who are having to endure the harsh winter in refugee camps, snow adds to their struggle to stay warm and survive the bitter cold.

Two videos show the heartbreaking contrast-
