While the weather was so cold in mid January in the north, staff of World Vision and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG) traveled to the field to provide wool-hand-knit-sweaters, caps and mufflers to children from kindergartens and primary schools in Tuan Giao district in Dien Bien province.

A total of 3,590 children were so happy because not only the presents were are nice but also they were tagged on with such wishes as “Hope you have a good health and warmth during this winter!” and “Try your best in studying and have good results!”

Mr Kabashima, Vice Director of MSIG Vietnam, said at the distribution ceremony: “The weather in Hanoi is rather cold today but it is colder here in the mountainous areas. When we give you these wool sweaters with our staff’s wishes, I hope you can feel the warm of our friendship to you.”

Through World Vision, MSIG has given warm clothes to more than 9,000 children in Tuan Giao, Tua Chua and Muong Cha districts since 2010. The total gifts were worth of 76,000 US dollars.
