Our biggest strength that we are showing here today is our unity,” Mary Ann stated once as she laboured to mobilise more than 10,000 marginalised Mindanaons out of their evacuation camps to fight for peace. Vibrant, courageous, poised and dedicated, Mary Ann Arnado of the Philippines has chosen to live her life as an advocate for peace, unwilling to compromise the dignity of those she has fought to empower. | Through poetry, Kids for Peace participant Fatmire Feka eloquently expresses the role of the peace clubs in her life: “They are groups of young birds that have the urge to fly but don't know how. Outside the nest it is dark, threatening, frightful and even violent. The young ones try to fly but they have no teacher and they are thwarted. They become discouraged. But still it is the time to learn to fly, somehow, and the supportive environment of the peace clubs becomes their mentor and tutor as they learn to do so.” Read more... |

| Healing, Peacebuilding and Reconciliation and Promotion of Reconciliation Among Youth “restores human identity, self acceptance, personal development, healing of every negative experience someone would have gone through and heals all bitterness harboured in someone’s life and all conflicts you may have towards others and many others.
