About Us

Through experience acquired over the years, World Vision Zambia has developed an innovative approach that integrates water and sanitation, nutrition, maternal and child health interventions, disease prevention and controls initiatives to achieve sustainable improvements in the wellbeing of children. 

Currently, World Vision Zambia programming portfolio consists of child sponsorship, grant funded projects, Gifts-in-Kind (GIK). It also conducts targeted emergency relief projects in partnership with the government, other non-governmental organisations and churches.

Other large scale initiatives implemented in the past three years include the USAID funded programmes RAPIDS (Reaching HIV and AIDS Affected People with Integrated Development and Support) and STEPS OVC (Sustainability Through Economic Strengthening, Prevention And Support For Orphans Vulnerable Children). Others are CFAARM (Consortium for Food, Agriculture, HIV and AIDS, Resilience and Marketing), European Union Education Project, Bicycle Empowerment and Education Project (BEEP), Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Citizens Voice and Action Advocacy and Vulnerable Children Advocacy project.
