In an effort to foster gender equality and empower women, World Vision Zambia and VisionFund Zambia have jointly launched the Women Empowerment and Gender Equality Initiative (WEGEI). ZANACO Bank’s partnership with World Vision Zambia gifts 50 bicycle to vulnerable school girls
In a touching demonstration of corporate social responsibility, Zambia National Commercial (ZANACO) Bank has donated 50 bicycles to World Vision Zambia’s Strong Girls Strong Zambia campaign with the aim of supporting vulnerable girls on their journey towards empowerment and education in Mufumbwe District.
The donation event hosted at World Vision’s Distribution Centre, marked a significant milestone in the collaboration and running partnership between the ZANACO and World Vision.
In December 2023, World Vision Zambia, in partnership with World Bicycle Relief Zambia launched a fundraiser to buy 2,000 bicycles for vulnerable girls to shorten their commute time to school. And ZANACO, during the launch committed and pledged 175,000 Kwacha towards the purchase of 50 bicycles to support the campaign.

Improved WASH Governance and Financing to Reach Universal Coverage in Indonesia
With the introduction of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, World Vision in Indonesia has taken collaborative and bold steps with the government of Indonesia and other development partners to actively work toward achieving the ambitious targets for universal and equitable access to WASH services for all by 2030. World Vision supports government ministries to develop policies, national guidelines, and other WASH-related learning modules and tools, as well as facilitating advocacy events and trainings to improve WASH access.'
Given sector-wide challenges with the long-term functionality of rural and small-town water supply services, World Vision has doubled-down on strengthening management systems. World Vision, with a focus on sustainability, empowers, trains, and strengthens water committees in matters of community organization and participation, administration (payment of fees), operation and maintenance of the water systems, and protection of microwatersheds, with the objective that the water committee will manage, operate, and maintain the water systems independently.

2023 Global Report on Child Participation in World Vision Decision-Making Processes
This second annual Global Report on Child Participation in World Vision Decision-Making Processes celebrates the different ways girls and boys across the world have been meaningfully involved in the decisions that World Vision makes to improve child well-being around the world. Field Offices have continued to implement stronger and more innovative ways of listening to children, including them in local and national decision-making spaces to ensure that programming and strategy decisions are informed by children’s experiences, priorities, needs, and perspectives.
This report highlights the extraordinary practices of each region and Field Office, celebrating the ways our staff have shared decision-making power with children. World Vision continues to press in our belief that children’s participation is not only a right, but an essential element of our child-focused agenda.

Universal Access to WASH in Rwanda
Over the past two decades, water service coverage levels have been steadily increasing in Rwanda, though significant gaps remain in many rural communities. In 2018, World Vision committed to reaching 1 million people with access to clean drinking water with the goal of reaching everyone in the areas World Vision works in Rwanda by 2023, through scaling up programming in Rwanda’s most underserved areas. Through the collective effort of a government-led network of actors, achievement of universal water coverage in the 39 sectors (sub-districts) prioritised by World Vision was achieved in 2023.
