In an effort to foster gender equality and empower women, World Vision Zambia and VisionFund Zambia have jointly launched the Women Empowerment and Gender Equality Initiative (WEGEI). The initiative aims to create a supportive environment for female staff, enabling them to realize their full potential and contribute effectively in all aspects of their lives.

In partnership with Golf Fore Africa, World Vision Zambia recently handed over the Kaluruzi Maternity Annex, which is equipped with a mechanised water system to promote improved service delivery for the people of Mbala District.

World Vision Zambia with support from the Australian government, donates 300 bicycles to FMNR Champions
With support from the Australian Government, World Vision Zambia recently distributed 300 bicycles to volunteers supporting the Sustainable Land Restoration Project (SLaR). Through its regreening agenda, SLaR is restoring 150 hectares of land in Katete, Sinda, and Chibombo districts.

World Vision began working in Zambia in 1981, and we are a Zambian Non-Government Organization with a local Board of Directors. World Vision has a vast reach in Zambia, with long-term development projects called Area Programmes and short-term grant-funded projects spread across the country nationwide. World Vision Zambia implements development projects in the following key areas: health and nutrition; livelihoods and resilience; education; child protection; disaster management; and water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH).
