Semabi Village is one of the villages in West Kalimantan that contains four sub-villages. You will need an hour to get there by riding a motorbike. You also have to across the Kapuas River to get Semabi.

Ensaguk sub-village is one the sub-village of Semabi. This sub-village is having a lot of children that need an earlier education such as Early Childhood Care and Development (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini – PAUD). That is why Ensaguk built PAUD Melati since 2 years ago.

Mariana is one of the tutors at PAUD Melati. She also a cadre of Integrated Health Post (Posyandu). For the first time, she did not know how to act like a tutor. She joined the training that held by Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) repeatedly to improve herself as a tutor or a cadre.

She got a lot of information about Posyandu and PAUD. She becomes an expert to do the ‘five table system’ at Posyandu.  She did not have to sweep the children to come to Posyandu.

“I used to confuse to give the learning materials to the children. I used to doesn’t know about the songs. But now after joining the music training with Wahana Visi Indonesia, I can create my own song for the children,” said Mariana proudly.

She said that other tutors and she hopes that PAUD would develop bigger than before.

“So that we can create our own ideas into PAUD learning materials which integrated with Posyandu,” she said.
