On the Ground with World Vision

Friday, October 11, 2013

Banteay Meanchey Province is one amongst three worst flood-affected provinces in Cambodia. The situation is getting worse as water continues to rise.

677 families from one of World Vision's Area Development Programme's (ADP) and 3,933 families within the entire province have been evacuated to higher ground.

Problems families are facing during times of severe flooding are lack of food, clean water and latrines. Falling ill with diarrhea, water-borne diseases or from snake bites. Schools are closed and road cut off.

To see how World Vision is assessing this situation and preparing to respond watch this short report from Preah Netr Preah ADP Manager, Chhun Vattey.
