World Vision Jerusalem – West Bank – Gaza (JWG) signed a partnership agreement with the SOS Children’s Villages International, under the SOS’s programs “Family Strengthening Program” and “Family Care Program”, which provide children all over the world, who are growing up without the care, protection and guidance they need, with alternative care when needed, support on their path to independence, and advocacy for their rights.

The agreement between the two partners aims to provide the registered children of SOS and their families with emergency supplies, including food packages and hygiene kits, during the coronavirus pandemic. World Vision JWG agreed to support the village of SOS in Bethlehem with more than 35,500 USD, through 324 food packages and 324 hygiene kits, to be given to children and families in line with the provisions outlined in this agreement between the two partners.

"We thank World Vision for this move and contribution. We hope for more future collaboration between World Vision and SOS village in Bethlehem targeting registered children in both organizations," said Mohammad Shalaldeh, Executive Director of the SOS Children Village in Bethlehem.

The SOS Children’s Villages International was established in Palestine in 1966. It is considered the first of its kind in the Middle East in terms of providing homes for children who don’t have the care and protection they need in their original family homes.
