Displaced mother finds joy serving through the cash program in the war-torn regions of Ukraine
Khrystyna rebuilds her life after fleeing her war-torn town in Luhansk Oblast, dedicating herself to humanitarian work. She helps internally displaced people (IDPs) register for a cash program in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, funded by USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), in partnership with Acted Ukraine and the Ukraine Response Consortium. The program is run by Responsible Citizens, World Vision's local partner.

Life in the eyes of a Ukrainian child: “My only wish is for my father to return from war”
For almost two years, the reality of everyday life has changed too abruptly for nine-year-old Eva. While the war continues, Ukrainian children face daily interrupted lessons, air alarms, bombings, and an education that has been partially disrupted. Teach for Ukraine, World Vision’s local partner, conducted Diagnostic and Proficiency Assessments (DAPAs) that evaluated Ukrainian children’s literacy and numeracy skills individually to avoid and uncover learning gaps.

When the Covenant Community Church in Kentucky said YES! To #Chosen, that choice became the fulfilment of World Vision Lesotho’s (WVL’s s) calling to ‘ending extreme poverty by reaching children who continue to struggle in the most vulnerable places in Lesotho.’ Child Sponsorship remains the backbone of Word Vision’s (WV’s) programming to solving extreme poverty through empowering children, families and communities to help themselves thereby ensuring real and lasting change.
