World Vision continues to respond to the more than 6.2 million people going hungry in the country because of drought and conflict.  

In 2017, we have provided: 

  • 537,000 people with livelihood and food security assistance
  • 458,000 people with clean water, sanitation and hygiene activities
  • 344,000 people with health assistance
  • 182,000 people with nutrition activities
  • 64,000 people with essential non-food items and emergency shelter support
  • 12,000 children with education and protection activities
