Responding to Somalia's Hunger Crisis - Situation Report 18

More than 5 million people in Somalia are continuing to grapple with a hunger crisis caused by drought and insecurity. 

In response, since 2017, World Vision has provided:

  • 537,000 people with food security and livelihood support
  • 489,000 people with clean water, sanitation and hygiene support
  • 394,000 people with health assistance
  • 210,000 people with nutrition support
  • 77,000 people with essential non-food items
  • 15,000 people with education and protection activities
