More than 1 million people have been reached since World Vision's teams started responding to the hunger crisis in South Sudan.

Still, there's more work to do. World Vision continues to be concerned that:

  • 3.9 million South Sudanese have been forced to flee their homes
  • 6 million people are severely food insecure
  • 4.3 million children require humanitarian assistance
  • 51% of school children are not getting an education

To respond, World Vision aims to provide more people with life-saving and life-changing assistance to more in the next six months.

Due to the ongoing conflict, World Vision South Sudan is requesting an additional US $8 million to reach people who urgently need emergency assistance to access food, clean water, health care, nutrition, child protection, income and employment, shelter and education.
