Responding to Uganda's refugee crisis - Situation Report #18

World Vision continues to respond to the more than 1.3 million refugees in the country, with a particular focus on serving the needs of South Sudanese refugees in the West Nile Region of Uganda. 

In December 2017, we provided: 

  • 653,000 people with food assistance
  • 25,000 children with protection activities
  • 51,000 people with essential non-food items including shelter construction materials, soap and cooking items
  • 1,400 with clean water, sanitation and hygiene activities
  • 1,200 with livelihood support
