Empowering Children as Peacebuilders

World Vision pursues peace for and with children and adolescents. Around the globe, World Vision equips young women and young men to be agents of peace in their communities. World Vision's approach empowers children to be agents of change, healing, and peace, among their peers and in their communities. For more information, download our programming guidelines.

World Vision is not alone in this work! Nour, a young peacebuilder from Lebanon (pictured above) helped launch the Inter-Agency Guiding Principles on Youth Participation in Peacebuilding in April 2014 in New York. As a member of the Inter-Agency Working Group on Youth and Peacebuilding, World Vision strongly supports UN Security Council Resolution 2250. World Vision is also a Steering Group Member of the Global Progress Study on Youth Peacebuilding and a founding member of the Global Partnership for Children and Youth in Peacebuilding.
