Helping Syrian refugees survive freezing temperatures in Lebanon

Friday, January 16, 2015

Freezing temperatures continue to make life and survival even more difficult for  the more than 400,000 Syrian refugees in the Bekaa valley of Lebanon, along the boarder with Syria.

To help aleviate their suffering at least slightly and increase their chances of survival, World Vision (through a partnership with UNICEF) is distributing blankets and warm clothes for children.

The organization is also working with UNHCR to help ensure families have fuel to warm their tents.
