World Vision warns of deadly impact of climate change in DR Congo as hundreds of pupils still missing following flood disaster
This press release warns of the impact of climate change and the risk it poses to communities already affected by food insecurity. It is also a call to the humanitarian community to pay particular attention to the harmful consequences of the floods in Kalehe, which killed more than 400 people and left more than 5,000 missing, including hundreds of children from a school in the area. More assistance to the survivors will help to alleviate the difficulties they face on a daily basis.

Since pumping water can require significant power demand, World Vision and our partners are evaluating the feasibility of combined WASH and electricity service delivery to leverage economies of scale and shared resources to meet multiple power needs in a cost-effective manner.

Certaines écoles ont vu leurs effectifs sensiblement réduits à cause des enfants qui sont morts, les autres sont déplacés et d'autres sont encore affectés par le décès de leurs parents et ne peuvent pas revenir étudier.
