World Vision has a vast reach in Zambia, with long-term development projects called Area Programmes and short-term grant-funded projects spread across the country nationwide. World Vision Zambia implements development projects in the following key areas: health and nutrition; livelihoods and resilience; education; child protection; disaster management; and water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH).

How Facilitating Engagements With Adolescent Girls and Young Women Positively Impacted Bongimpilo's Own Life
Bongimpilo, of Mantambe Area Programme, has been part of the “Halting The Spread Of HIV Amongst The Swazi Society” Project, which aims to transform the lives of young girls and women in underprivileged communities, since 2022. As Bongimpilo continued to work on the project, she found solace in knowing that she wasn't alone in her journey. She connected with other team members who shared similar experiences, forming a support network that helped her navigate her own challenges. Together, they shared stories, offered encouragement, and provided a safe space for vulnerability.

World Vision signs $33M climate resilience project with the Government of South Sudan and UNDP
In a significant step towards climate resilience, the South Sudan Government, through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and World Vision International South Sudan, has signed an agreement to implement the Watershed Approaches for Climate Resilience in Agro-pastoral Landscapes (WACRESS) Project. The project, which is aimed at building the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change impacts while restoring ecosystems, holds immense potential for our region.
