Beekeeping improves lives in Mbuye
In Mbuye commune rampant issues linked to land ownership are barriers to food security, thus a root cause of poor child wellbeing.
Ernest decided to practice beekeeping as his efforts were not bringing much in the dry season. Last year, WVIB started working with beekeeping associations. With 50 beehives in place, a harvest of 1,500 kg is expected instead of 80 kg from the traditional beehives.
