World Vision signs $33M climate resilience project with the Government of South Sudan and UNDP
In a significant step towards climate resilience, the South Sudan Government, through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and World Vision International South Sudan, has signed an agreement to implement the Watershed Approaches for Climate Resilience in Agro-pastoral Landscapes (WACRESS) Project. The project, which is aimed at building the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change impacts while restoring ecosystems, holds immense potential for our region.

World Vision Solomon Islands commits to the food day theme 'leave no one behind'.
WVSI is serious about the project to ensure no one in the ten communities is left behind because a recent assessment conducted by World Vision Solomon Islands and its partners found a need for improvement, especially on consumption patterns.
Specifically, on food consumption patterns in 122 households of the ten communities, only 37% practice the minimum dietary diversity recommended for infant and young child feeding practices.

Solomon Islands Flood Response
Following days of heavy rain, river banks were strained and eventually broke inundating communities in Honiara and Guadalcanal Plains on 3 April 2014. Some 52,000 people were affected by the floods and 23 people lost their lives.
