Davis & Shirtliff Zambia has donated 101 Kilogram buckets of Granular chlorine valued at slightly over K21,000 to World Vision Zambia towards the flood and cholera response in Zambia that World Vision Zambia is implementing.
Speaking during the handover ceremony at World Vision Zambia National Office this morning in Lusaka today, Davis and Shirtliff Managing Director Jonathan Mainga said his team is honoured to be a partner with World Vision Zambia in responding to the recently experienced floods and a cholera outbreak in the country.

As the Sustainable Development Goals prompt strategy shifts from hand pumps to more robust piped-water systems, there is often a reliance on solar energy for pumping in rural areas. Since pumping water can require significant power demand, World Vision and our partners are evaluating the feasibility of combined WASH and electricity service delivery to leverage economies of scale and shared resources to meet multiple power needs in a cost-effective manner.
