Syrian refugee children dream of the end of violence and their return "home"

As conflict scales up across the Middle East this month, aid agency World Vision says the protection of children from violence is more critical than ever.

"After everything they’ve been through, children are still sharing their hopes and dreams with us every day. They are trusting us and we need to do everything in our power to ensure we don’t let them down, and we implore all world leaders to do the same,” said Wynn Flaten, Regional Response Director for Syria and Iraq.

World Vision has been responding to the needs of more than 700,000 people in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon and is currently scaling up operations in Iraq. The organization is calling for more funds as the needs in the region continue to increase.
