Highlighting the importance of mental health support: Training psychological first responders to aid those in distress during emergencies with essential skills.

To repsond to the humanitarian crisis affecting the West Bank, World Vision launched an emergency operation on the 13th of October 2023. Over the past year, we have collaborated with over 300 volunteers and 250 village councils to deliver life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable. To date, we have supported more than 233,000 people.

The first Child Nutrition Dialogue, organised by World Vision Central African Republic, provided a platform for young voices to advocate for better nutrition. Children participating in the dialogue emphasised the crucial role of parental involvement in ensuring nutritious school meals.

World Vision International, in partnership with MA’AN Development Centre, has launched a new project titled “Towards Climate Change Action with Nutrition Co-Benefits for Vulnerable Families in Areas B and C in the West Bank.” This 36-month initiative, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with a budget of 1.5 million euros, will target 30 communities across the West Bank and is expected to benefit approximately 33,000 individuals.

he Council for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD), in partnership with line ministries, development agencies, civil society, academia, and the private sector, hosted Cambodia’s 11th National Nutrition Day (NND) under the theme “Nutrition for Growth.” This year’s NND highlighted both ongoing and new efforts in the battle against malnutrition, a remaining challenge in Cambodia. The latest Cambodia Demographic and Health Survey (CDHS) revealed that 9.6% of children experience acute forms of malnutrition (wasting) across the Kingdom. In this context, CARD announced the launching of two new collaborative initiatives: a project with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Seed Fund partners – WFP, FAO, and UNICEF – and the ENOUGH Campaign by World Vision.

Virtual Learning Exchange on Social and Behavior Change for Nutrition in partnership with SUN - CSN (Scaling Up Nutrition – Civil Society Network). In addition to speakers from WV and SUN-CSN, we will have speakers/presenters from WFP, UNICEF, Alive& Thrive Vietnam, Nutrition International, Pakistan, and Gems Heart Philippines. This collaborative learning exchange will highlight best SBC practices, innovative SBC tools, and encourage robust dialogue through breakout room discussions.
