Unfinished Business: The progress in policies to end violence against children
Each year, one billion children suffer from violence, losing their innocence and bearing lifelong scars. Despite government promises to end this violence, progress is inconsistent, with some areas regressing. A new report highlights the current state of policy commitments in 21 countries, revealing that no country has done enough to end violence against children by 2030. While some countries have outlawed violence, enforcement is lacking, and loopholes remain. West Africa, in particular, shows minimal progress and high rates of child marriage and labor.

Bolstering communities’ ability to protect themselves in the West Bank
In dozens of villages across the West Bank, Palestinian volunteers equipped by World Vision can now respond to emergencies, fight fires and provide emergency first aid. This support is part of World Vision's Emergency repsosne as violence has escalated in the region and children are at risks.

Restoring childhood: Safe havens for Palestinian children to heal and thrive
World Vision made it a priority to create safe spaces for children and communities across the West Bank. ver the past 10 months, the organisation has implemented mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) interventions in more than a hundred villages, reaching over 28,000 children and adults. Through 26 newly constructed or rehabilitated safe spaces, World Vision has provided crucial psychosocial support to over 6,500 children across the West Bank, helping them navigate the immense challenges they face.

The Sound of Hope: A Portable Ultrasound Brings Vital Care to West Bank’s Most Vulnerable
Improving access to quality maternal and child health care in local clinics has been a priority for World Vision’s emergency response to the Middle East Crisis in the West Bank. In just 10 months, we have rehabilitated and/or equipped 39 health clinics, directly benefitting more than 20,000 people with close to US$600,000 in essential materials, including eight mobile ultrasound machines. In the coming months, we will distribute 18 more ultrasound machines and additional emergency obstetric care supplies to clinics in vulnerable communities. As the need grows, World Vision has already supported over 155 villages. Your support can help us reach even more families with basic health care essentials.

This framework aims to empower citizens, strengthen partnerships between subnational administrations (SNAs) and citizens, and leverage enhanced accountability of SNAs to improve local service delivery.
