Reforço alimentar nas escolas: resultados do sucesso da merenda escolar em Cabinda
Na comunidade de Chinfuca, município de Cacongo, onde o Projecto Integrado de Cabinda (PIC) reabilitou a escola local e está a implementar dentre tantas intervenções a componente da merenda escolar, o estudante Miguel, de 12 anos, hoje não deixa de faltar às aulas por falta de comida. Ele e seu primo-irmão, que frequentam a 4ª classe naquela instituição de ensino, têm feito o consumo, duas vezes na semana, de uma refeição quente e nutritiva. Apesar do difícil contexto em que se encontra Miguel, inserido em uma comunidade afectada pela pobreza multidimensional, o menino sente-se motivado a continuar na escola, garantindo o acesso à oportunidade de persistir nos seus sonhos.

Unfinished Business: The progress in policies to end violence against children
Each year, one billion children suffer from violence, losing their innocence and bearing lifelong scars. Despite government promises to end this violence, progress is inconsistent, with some areas regressing. A new report highlights the current state of policy commitments in 21 countries, revealing that no country has done enough to end violence against children by 2030. While some countries have outlawed violence, enforcement is lacking, and loopholes remain. West Africa, in particular, shows minimal progress and high rates of child marriage and labor.

The Implementation of the Social Accountability Framework (I-SAF) in Cambodia is a result of lessons from World Vision's implementation of Citizen Voice and Action in Cambodia funded by the World Bank. This framework aims to empower citizens, strengthen partnerships between subnational administrations (SNAs) and citizens, and leverage enhanced accountability of SNAs to improve local service delivery.

The World Vision Zambia Health programme focuses on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAHN). The aim of the programme is to improve the health status of pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under the age of five. Our strategic objective for health is to contribute to the reduction of maternal and child mortality through improved health and nutrition practices. The heart of World Vision’s Global Health and Nutrition Strategy is a package of preventative interventions for mothers and children under two, targeting the first 1,000-days.

Empowering Youths and Building Resilient Communities
The Youth Apprenticeship Initiative has benefited 50 young people from different communities over the past two years. They have acquired skills in fashion design, vehicle repair, hairdressing and other areas. It is a way for World Vision Ghana to build community resilience and support children's learning.
