World Vision Kenya Launches National Flood Response
Amidst the devastating floods in Kenya, Mathare North Primary School shelters 200 families, grappling with despair. As of April 29th, the Government of Kenya reports indicate that approximately 150,365 people have been displaced by the ongoing rains, with 169 deaths recorded as floods swept through almost half of Kenya.
World Vision is responding with urgent aid, delivering cash transfers having launched a national flood relief effort to reach over 84,000 affected individuals.

Tropical storm "Filipo" is affecting southern region of Mozambique after landing in Inhambane province where more than 500 houses were partially and totally destroyed. The financial support from USAID's BHA, ACTED and Ukrainian Response Consortium allows Yulia to cover her daughter’s medical expenses. The little girl needs urgent surgery since she suffers from several chronic diseases. Her daughter, Angelina, has had gray hair from an early age due to poliosis, a condition that results from a lack of or reduction of melanin. The condition is often brought on by being exposed to stressful situations for an extended length of time.
