Solar Energy: Lighting Up Lives

In the rural community of Manga, life is undergoing a remarkable transformation, thanks to the powerful impact of solar energy and improved access to clean water, both brought about by World Vision Zambia’s Chikwa Energy and WASH project. For years, Manga was left behind, lacking basic services such as electricity and safe water, which hindered development and limited opportunities for families. When Vannak walks through the Svay Rumpear Health Centre in Kampong Leaeng, she does so with a deep sense of pride in how far both she and her community have come. As a leading midwife, she greets patients with warmth, guiding new mothers as they welcome their babies into the world. It’s the type of medical support that didn’t exist 20 years ago, and just one of the many interventions this community has seen thanks to sponsorship.
