We are pleased to share with you our brochure that showcases World Vision's initiatives in the Central African Republic (CAR) to assist vulnerable children, families, and communities. World Vision is a Christian relief, advocacy, and development organization committed to protecting children and working towards a more just world.

In this brochure, you will learn how we mobilize to support children who are affected by poverty, hunger, conflict, violence, and climate change. Our goal is to empower them to overcome these obstacles and build a better future. We operate without boundaries, even in the most dangerous areas.

Our vision is a world where every child can grow up in peace, be nourished, loved, protected, and fulfilled. That's why we intervene in crucial areas such as health, education, access to clean water, child protection, and economic development. With a team of over 150 staff members engaged with local communities in locations like Bangui, Bambari, Bangassou, Batangafo, Bouar, Birao, and Paoua, we are present where the needs are most urgent.

World Vision's strategic objective in CAR is to improve the well-being of 2.1 million vulnerable children by 2025. To achieve this, we focus on four key objectives: increasing positive and peaceful relationships between children, families, and communities; protecting boys and girls from violence; improving the nutrition of children aged 0-5; and addressing the root causes of vulnerability through a community-based approach in fragile contexts.

In this brochure, you will also find detailed information about our interventions in each sector. We strive to prevent maternal and child mortality through partnerships with local healthcare professionals, the promotion of good hygiene and sanitation practices, and the provision of quality primary healthcare. Additionally, our Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program aims to increase access to sustainable clean water and improve sanitation and hygiene practices throughout the country.

In the area of food security and livelihoods, we provide emergency food aid and cash assistance to combat food insecurity. We also work to strengthen livelihoods and improve ecosystems through economic development programs, skills training, and support to marginalized groups, with a focus on women and displaced and rural youth.

Lastly, we place great importance on child protection and social cohesion. We work to prevent abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other forms of violence by strengthening the protective environment around children. Specific programs are in place for children affected by gender-based violence, children in conflict with the law, and children associated with armed forces and groups. We collaborate with religious leaders, community leaders, law enforcement, parents, caregivers, and families to ensure their safety and well-being.

We hope this brochure provides you with a deeper understanding of our work in CAR and our commitment to vulnerable children and communities. By working together, we can build a better future for all.
