Farewell miseries, hello prosperity
Munther*, a Syrian farmer, has endured cycles of prosperity and loss due to natural disasters and war in Syria. Lacking preventative measures to climate change and natural disasters, he reflects on the miseries he and his community had to endure. Yet, hope arises with the Anticipatory Action project, offering a lifeline to vulnerable communities like his, potentially averting future crises.

Combating HIV/AIDS Among Young People and Adolescents: A Promising Initiative in Likasi
This article highlights the success of World Vision's project to combat HIV/AIDS among adolescents and young people in the town of Likasi in the south of the DRC. It is an innovative project that aims to raise awareness among young people of the need to protect themselves against this disease, and incorporates effective means of protection such as voluntary testing and the distribution of condoms.

Empowered Aid Lebanon: Summary Report
In May 2022, World Vision Lebanon (WVL) distributed 2,762 disinfection kits to a targeted group of Syrian refugees residing in informal tented settlements (ITS) in Bekaa Governorate, Lebanon. This not only supported needs identified by the humanitarian response but was also part of Empowered Aid’s efforts to reduce sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) in aid distributions by identifying risk factors and building evidence on safer distribution mechanisms and monitoring.
