Sadi Alhassan’s inspiring journey to empowerment
Sadi Alhassan, a 60-year-old widow displaced from Torodi, overcame her challenges through her involvement in a savings group supported by World Vision Niger. Trained to make soap, couscous, and sesame oil, she turned her skills into a source of income for her family. Her group of 25 women generated 200,000 CFA francs, enabling microcredit and solidarity donations. Sadi was able to send her daughters to school and improve her household hygiene. Her journey embodies the power of female empowerment through solidarity and training.

From Insecurity to Stability: Mamane Guizo's Journey in Batafadoua
Faced with soil infertility caused by climate change, Mamane Guizo, a father of 12, was forced to flee his village of Batafadoua to seek income in Nigeria. Despite his efforts, poverty persisted. In 2019, the Maradi Integrated Resilience Project (MIRP), funded by WFP and implemented by World Vision, transformed his life. Thanks to temporary employment and stable income, Mamane was able to restart his business, invest in livestock farming, improve family nutrition, and support his children's education. Today, he lives in renewed stability, but aspires to more, including the creation of a market garden to diversify his diet.

Harouna Yahaya's inspiring journey to resilience
Harouna Yahaya, a farmer from the village of Tchamro (Guidan Roumdji, Niger), lived in extreme poverty, unable to feed his family due to land degradation and the invasion of harmful plants. Thanks to the Maradi Integrated Resilience Project (MIRP), funded by WFP and implemented by World Vision, he participated in land restoration activities and received a monthly income. With his savings, he invested in agriculture and livestock farming, harvested 40 bags of peanuts, bought a motorcycle, and sustainably improved his family's living conditions. Today, Harouna is an example of resilience and calls on his peers to seize opportunities to escape poverty.
