If not us then who?

Fince Erbo, 47, is well known as Mama Fin in her village, Saukobye. She is a member of Child Care Group (KPA) which was developed by Wahana Visi Indonesia, a partner of World Vision in Biak.

Mama Fin is a housewife who takes care of her family and handles any household chores. However, she doesn't turn a blind eye to children's lives in her village. Mama Fin is very active in any social activity related to children in her village including Integrated Health Post (Posyandu).

She has faced many challenges. One of them comes from villagers who are also her neighbors. Sometimes, when she asks them to join in some meetings, they refuse to go because there's no payment for it. However, Mama Fin is always successful in dealing with this problem.

"We join in this activity not for money but for knowledge. Knowledge is more important than money since we could apply it everywhere especially in our family's life," said Mama Fin to the people every time she face the same problem.

But Mama Fin never gives up on it.

She even frequently visits families with children-under five to help carry their babies to Posyandu. She makes all her efforts wholeheartedly with no strings attached. Why?

It's because she wants the children to have a better life in the future.

"I wish they could be successful someday. If not us then who are willing to build our own village?" said Mama Fin enthusiastically talking about her mission.
