In december 2024 and January 2025, World Vision provided humanitarian support to 101,000 people in 142 villages as part of our emergency response. Our response focused on community protection, mental health, access to health care and access to safe education.

DR Congo: A New Ebola Variant Declared in Ituri Threatens Children’s Lives
This press release highlights the declaration of the 17th Ebola outbreak by the Democratic Republic of Congo in Ituri province. This new outbreak is the Bundibugyo variant, which does not have any treatment or vaccines, making the response most complex. It is also spreading rapidly as the province of North Kivu has declared one confirmed case, and Uganda has confirmed 1 case. World Vision is calling for a coordinated and cross-border response.

One Year of Emergency Response in the West Bank - Impact Report
To repsond to the humanitarian crisis affecting the West Bank, World Vision launched an emergency operation on the 13th of October 2023. Over the past year, we have collaborated with over 300 volunteers and 250 village councils to deliver life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable. To date, we have supported more than 233,000 people.
