Due to unprecedented levels of violence, restrictions on movement and economic challenges, a major humanitarian crisis is ongoing in the West Bank. To support communities, World Vision has continued its emergency response in february and March 2025, reaching 193,000 people including 110,000 children in 7 governorates. Building stronger families through mental health support in the West Bank
World Vision is implementing a programme that offers women a safe and supportive space to talk openly, share their struggles, and learn how to solve problems together. Over the next three years, the project will reach 21 villages in the West Bank, helping 450 adults find ways to manage stress, solve problems, and support one another. Mental Health Support through Women Empowerment in the West Bank
Over the past 18 months, the West Bank has faced a worsening humanitarian crisis. In response, World Vision has expanded its mental health support through the “Enhanced Access to Mental Health Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Services for Vulnerable Communities” project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). At the heart of this initiative is Group Problem Management Plus (GPM+), a community-based intervention designed to equip women with practical tools to manage stress, solve everyday problems, and regain a sense of control. Joining Forces Alliance Zambia Condemns Rising Cases of Rape and Defilement in Zambia – Calls for Urgent Action
The Joining Forces Alliance is deeply alarmed by the rising cases of rape and defilement across the country. We are particularly disturbed by the fact that these heinous crimes are being committed by individuals entrusted with the duty to protect children. We commend the Government’s swift action to shut down one facility in Lusaka allegedly perpetrating child abuse and arresting perpetrators.

Situation Report - December 2024 January 2025 - Emergency Response in the West Bank
In december 2024 and January 2025, World Vision provided humanitarian support to 101,000 people in 142 villages as part of our emergency response. Our response focused on community protection, mental health, access to health care and access to safe education.

Joining Forces Alliance Condemns Rising Child Sexual Abuse Cases in Zambia
At a press conference held on Monday in Lusaka, the alliance, comprised of six leading child-focused organizations, including Save the Children, World Vision Zambia, Plan International Zambia, Child Fund, SOS Children's Villages International, and Terre des Hommes International Federation, expressed deep concern over the rising cases of child sexual abuse. Reports indicate that children are increasingly being victimized in spaces meant to be safe havens, such as homes, schools, and orphanages.

Empowering Adolescents Through Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in the West Bank
Using an evidence based approach (EASE), World Vision is providing mental health and psychosocial supports to 1000 adolescents and 1000 caregivers in 34 villages of the West Bank to help them to manage stress, anxiety and trauma due to the current crisis as part of a project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
