ZANACO Bank’s partnership with World Vision Zambia gifts 50 bicycle to vulnerable school girls
In a touching demonstration of corporate social responsibility, Zambia National Commercial (ZANACO) Bank has donated 50 bicycles to World Vision Zambia’s Strong Girls Strong Zambia campaign with the aim of supporting vulnerable girls on their journey towards empowerment and education in Mufumbwe District.
The donation event hosted at World Vision’s Distribution Centre, marked a significant milestone in the collaboration and running partnership between the ZANACO and World Vision.
In December 2023, World Vision Zambia, in partnership with World Bicycle Relief Zambia launched a fundraiser to buy 2,000 bicycles for vulnerable girls to shorten their commute time to school. And ZANACO, during the launch committed and pledged 175,000 Kwacha towards the purchase of 50 bicycles to support the campaign.

Last Mile Mobile Solution (LMMS) is a technology solution that was developed by World Vision in collaboration with the Information Technology (IT) industry in 2008. Basically, it is designed to strengthen efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability in humanitarian service delivery.
To improve the management of Gifts In Kind (GIK) resources, World Vision Zambia recently held a Last Mile Mobile Solution (LMMS) training for field office Gifts In Kind (GIK) users to effectively utilize the Item Tracking System module for GIK programming and local procurements, both for Area Programmes s and Projects.
