This article tells the inspiring story of Élodie, a mother in Karawa, North-Ubangi Province, whose daughter Esther recovered from severe acute malnutrition with support from World Vision and the Karawa Health Zone. Through nutritional treatment, Positive Deviance Hearth sessions and livelihood support, Élodie gained practical knowledge, strengthened her family’s resilience and rebuilt her hope. The story highlights how integrated nutrition and livelihood interventions can help vulnerable families move from crisis and uncertainty towards recovery, dignity and a more secure future.
