World Vision International Myanmar (WVIM) is one of the longest-serving humanitarian and development organization in Myanmar, with more than three decades of operational presence across both stable and conflict-affected contexts. Climate Action, Resilience and Sustainable Livelihoods Capacity Statement

Through funding from Enabel, World Vision is helping vulnerable communities in Gemena Territory, South-Ubangi Province, strengthen their livelihoods and resilience. Through Farmer Field Schools, functional literacy classes and Village Savings and Loan Associations, farmers and women are gaining practical agricultural, financial and literacy skills that are already improving harvests, household income and economic independence.

In FY25, World Vision Afghanistan reached 1,497,975 people, including 808,015 children, through 36 projects and grants. 

A joint supervision mission led by the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, the Office for Agricultural Access Roads (OVDA) and World Vision DRC visited Nyanga and Kitangua Health Zones to assess the progress of the GAINS – Tuya Kumpala programme. The mission reviewed agricultural activities, community savings groups, health and education outcomes, and the rehabilitation of rural feeder roads, while identifying opportunities and challenges affecting implementation. The findings highlight encouraging progress in strengthening food security, improving household resilience, reducing malnutrition and promoting sustainable rural development through strong community participation and local ownership in Kasai.

As humanitarian funding declines and needs rise in Burundi's Musenyi refugee site, World Vision is helping refugee families build resilience through livelihood cooperatives that improve food security, income, and opportunities for children. These child-focused, community-led solutions are enabling families to move beyond survival, strengthening children's well-being, education, and hope for a more secure future.
