World Vision Deeply Concerned by Deadly Ebola Outbreak in DR Congo’s Kasai Province
World Vision raises alarm over a newly declared Ebola outbreak in Kasai Province, DRC, where 32 suspected cases and 15 deaths, including four health workers, have been reported. With a fatality rate of 57%, the organization warns of urgent humanitarian needs and is working with partners to assess the situation. Drawing on experience from past Ebola responses in DRC, Uganda, and West Africa, World Vision calls for immediate donor funding, better community engagement, and stronger regional coordination to contain the outbreak and prevent its spread.
