From Struggle to Self-reliance - A Young Farmer’s Journey of Survival and Hope
A young high school graduate from Mahlalini Area Programme in the Shiselweni region of Eswatini has turned to small scale vegetable farming as means of survival. Living with his elderly grandmother, who is in a wheelchair and his younger brother that is in Grade 11, has required him to take on the responsibility of sustaining the household. Through resilience and support from World Vision Eswatini, his farming has grown into a stable source of food security and income, improving dignity and strengthening household wellbeing.
