Previous mobilisations

We've seen that when people from around the world join together in large numbers and act on their belief, change is possible.

At critical moments over the past few years, citizens have been mobilised around the world  to call on governments and supporters to play their part in ending preventale maternal, newborn and child deaths.

Learn about some of the previous Child Health Now global mobilisations:

Close the Gap

Between 4-10 September 2013 World Vision’s Child Health Now campaign mobilised supporters & staff in 56 countries ahead of the 2013 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in order to call on world leaders to ‘Close the Gap’ on poverty so all children can Survive 5.

Survive 5 Day

On Sunday 5th May (5/5) we made a noise about this situation. We brought our collective voices together to raise awareness of the challenges children face in reaching their fifth birthday - all under the banner of “Survive 5 day.”

Global Week of Action 2012

In response to the shockingly high number of children dying before their fifth birthday World Vision brought people together across the globe for the Global Week of Action. A week long event, held between 13th to 20th November 2012, where people raised their hands and showed their support for the millions of children at risk of illness or death from preventable causes like malaria, diarrhoea and malnutrition.

'The 12 Days of Christmas' 2013

In marking the 12 days of Christmas, we released social media content for 12 days from 26th December 2013-6th January 2014, which reflected 12 health items, policies or actions that we want all children to receive in the new year so that they can. The campaign reached 6 million people around the world, thanks to the various partners and individuals who joined with us. You can see more about the campaign HERE.
