Bringing Some Relief to Flood Survivors

World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) is assisting communities in the Bardiya district which was severely affected by the recent monsoon floods.

WVIN provided non-food relief packs to 300 families which included: tarpaulin, blanket, mattress, mosquito net, kitchen utensils, clothing for the family, 20 litre capacity water jerry can, plastic mug, and nylon rope.

As of 1 September in Bardiya district, 14,424 families have been displaced, 3,023 houses have been completely damaged and 11,512 houses have been partially damaged leaving more than 80,000 people affected. Across the country, 152,975 people have been affected and 15,237 families have been displaced by the recent floods. (source: National Emergency Operations Centre, Ministry of Home Affairs)
